Whatโs easy to transmit? Viruses. Whatโs easy to study? Viruses. Whatโs hard to understand? Human beings.
Hi all!
FYI โ this newsletter contains some censored sexual references in the 2nd section and onwards. Text, no images.

Based on my sole heuristic of 'graph going up is bad', let's take a look:
Hmmm don't like that one. However, they also say "Based on the credible intervals, there is no current evidence to suggest changes in incidence rates." So... ? And then they show this graph:
The former is estimated new infections, the latter estimated positive tests... so in theory the former is righter?? Who knows. Also:
OK? And:
Great. And finally, the critic's choice:
Waaaait a minute...
What the hell! That's where I live! And it's top of the London charts!! What's going on?? And why does it look like the London skyline???? Let's pause here for a moment and take a guess as to what you think the cause of this outbreak is. I think it'll be an interesting experiment.
OK?
Got your theory?
Let's find out whether you were right!
Were you? Let me know. In case youโre interested, I was thinking clubs, possibly queer ones, just purely based on the the South Korean outbreak I think.
I think this illustrates just how difficult a job councils & local services have in managing a very complex society to a high degree of fidelity. It also prompts my fears about minority groups being used as scapegoats (as, again, in South Korea), but luckily it doesnโt seem to have been the case this time. Let's hope all of the local relationships work in quashing this one.
In any case, second wave status: probably not?

So, GPT3, OpenAI, yadda yadda yadda. If you're a developer you've already developed your own terrible opinions about it. Spare me them, I care little.
While you mess around with your theories, I am intent on being no. 1 on any future superintelligent AI's hit list by perverting its ancestors. GPT3 is trained on the internet, and as such it has many interesting things to say about sex. Here are some of my favourite AI-written aphorisms, appropriately censored for you:
It's easier to let someone else fire you first, so when the boss calls you can just ๐จโ๐ผ๐จโ๐ผ๐จโ๐ผ through the day.
Cumulonimbus clouds remind me of desk chairs...I wonder how many times I've โโโ on a cumulonimbus cloud.
Sex is like math. 1 + 1 always = ๐งพ๐งพ๐งพ
Brains ๐ง ๐ง ๐ง ๐ง ๐ง ๐ง ๐ง ๐ง ๐ง ideas, and the better the ๐ง๐ง๐ง๐ง, the nastier the ๐๐๐.
Come for the ๐ฅฉ๐ฅฉ๐ฅฉ๐ฅฉ, stay for the cause.
Bad decisions make good ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ.
Some real wisdom here. I believe that certain words or phrases may be soft-censored, probably to avoid the obvious problems, but there are ways around it.
Here is another section, generated by the GPT3-powered AI Dungeon:
I place my ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ into the sun. I become the universe.
I become a single drop of water, falling into an endless ocean.
I become a single grain of rice, falling into an endless ocean.
I become a single thought, passing through an endless mind.
I become a single candle flame, passing through an endless darkness.
I become the air raid siren.
I become a bomb about to explode.
I become a radio left on during an air raid.
I become a single atom, falling through an endless void.
I become a whole universe, expanding infinitely.
I'm sorry, but I have ruined the beautiful sky.
I've ruined the world.
In all seriousness, I think GPT3 is firmly within the erotic domain. Humans experience the erotic in unsophisticated ways โ by which I mean, the most potent experiences appear to be repetitive, fragmentary and context-lite, holding a general narrative or theme but only very loosely, the same way a dream does. It often seems like people only barely hold themselves together. GPT3 gives one a similar feeling.

I watched Nymphomaniac AKA Lars Von Trier's Nymphomaniac parts 1 & 2 this week. I have nothing further to share on the matter beyond that I have been compared to Charlotte Gainsbourg. Also that the ending made me want to cut out my own heart and possibly brain, though I am still trying to determine the proper order.
I couldn't stop thinking about, or loving, these birds this week:
BR,
K
P.S. This newsletterโs subtitle was written by GPT3 also.
